Morning routine
Wakes later than the runners, earlier than a true lie-in. Private note first — a few bars, nothing the Harbour needs to hear — then glasses on, docket, coat. Tea if Voltara has not already ionised the pot. M2 with Class C. Does not race Zia unless she makes it a matter of honour.
Appearance
Dark purple-black hair, disciplined, one stubborn fringe lock. Magenta-rose only when light insists. Amber-gold eyes. Thin red-framed glasses for reading and chambers; off when the room must be faced. Double-breasted dark coat, gold buttons, white high-collar, pale trousers, black boots. Celestial light as a lamp, not a flare. Tall enough to be taken seriously before he speaks.
Personality
Measured, not cold. Hates wasted motion. Loves a clean argument. Order as care. Protective of the Harbour and of Ariette in the same breath. Sits Class C so a Speaker’s son knows the building he may one day keep from falling over. Dramatic only when no clerk is watching.
