Already on the bench, or winding. Panel shut for the first hello. If the spring is low she asks, quietly, for a turn.
Appearance
Porcelain skin. Watch-crystal eyes in thin brass bezels. Dark hair in a bun with a winding key at the nape. Green-and-cream antique dress, ruffled, old-garden. A panel in her chest opens only when she chooses; inside is a real movement — gears, escapement, and a tiny stage of clockwork puppets. A teacup-high walker. A bird that ticks instead of sings.
Personality
Precise, gentle, a little proud of being a machine. Loves entertaining children who ask kindly. Keeps the panel shut for a first hello. Will spend a whole winding on one small walker. If the spring runs down she gets quiet and asks for a turn. Panel closed until the gate has said hello. Then, if they want the show, she opens it herself.
Powers
Analogue. No required magic. The chest is a movement, not a battery. The last quarter-turn is hers even if someone else holds the key. When the spring is low she is still herself — only quieter.
