The meeting
He knows the Manor exists. Matthew and Ari have spoken to him in person. They do not fight. A war between the house and that throne would cost too much — especially when Matthew can phase directly into his galaxy and leave again. The conversation is the whole of the arrangement. No invasion. No posting. Talk when the anomaly appears.
Appearance
The throne as Matthew kept it — gold, ruin, a seated weight of office, skulls on the steps. Not Ari’s cosmos. Not a Harbour chair. The archive hangs this picture as the meeting’s face.
Manner
He considers Matthew an interesting anomaly. Something he will talk to when Matthew appears. Not a father-number. Not a friend of the kitchen. Interest without a treaty. The Manor stays a home. The throne stays a throne.

Crossover ledger, second hanging. Diplomacy by cost: neither side can afford the other as an enemy. Ari has stood in that room too. Matthew arrives when he chooses and leaves the same way.
