What it is
Not a class. Not a fleet. A single flying deck the size of a dishonest street. B-52 bones stretched until the shadow is a district. White and pale blue on the ground. In the air the paint shifts and drinks the sky — cloud-white, high-blue, edges that smear. Not invisible. Just rude to lock onto. Starlight jets along the trailing edge pay for the mass so there is no fuel farm the size of a town. Command glass in the spine. A ventral bay for a small air group, not a carrier city: a handful of escort craft to put eyes and teeth over a problem, then take them home. Armed enough that a smear is not weather.
What it does
Deterrence you can hang in weather. Built because the M3 made the harbour honest and the sky was still empty. Home is a carved mountain dock in the hills that belong to the Manor, nearer the house than Ashenport. Stone doors. Idle jets. Aoi can walk to it. When the ridge is the wrong answer, a sky-tether is still legal — same hull, no second hangar. M2 is family rail. M3 Aqua Inferno is the harbour sentence. M5 is the sentence written on the air.
Notes
Works ledger, tenth plate. One hull only, so the map stays honest. Roster of machines, not people. Byzanth’s Orionism already hates a bent star. A moving constellation that refuses to stay one colour is the same sermon, larger. They may count it from the dome. They do not get a pretty postcard every morning. The Gallery hangs the same underway — MG.2026.017. This page is the machine, not the painting. Not a Court number. Not a class.
