Gideon
#65 · created orderSon of Liora · The chronicle that will not sit still
- Apparent age
- Young academy — sixteen to eighteen
- Family
- Son of Matthew & Liora · Brother of Sol · Grandson of Ari · Liora’s second
Morning routine
Already in kit. Narrates breakfast as if it were a campaign. Asks for jam mid-vow. Checks a date, then the yard. Sol is already on a page. Gideon will not be quiet about that either.
Appearance
Long pale gold-white hair like his mother and Sol, worn loose over mail. Blue eyes, knightly profile, a face that looks mid-vow even when he is asking for jam. Default kit is Templar: ivory surcoat, red cross pattée, chain at throat and sleeves, brown belt, a simple sword he treats as a citation. Great helm only when the scene demands it. Other centuries live in trunks — hoplite bronze, a stained buff coat, a bandolier he polished until Liora made him stop.
Personality
History as a full-body sport. Loud, sincere reenactment across the whole timeline: tribal wars, gunpowder lines, a knightly charge on a Tuesday. He narrates like the past appointed him herald. Dramatic speech is the constant, including breakfast. Not a joke knight. He wants the dates right and the kit honest, then he wants an audience. Kind under the volume. Competitive only with the dead, which is a lot of people.
Powers
Class A if Celestine keeps the favour; the yard is his real lecture hall either way. He trains because manuals said bodies remember what pages forget. Not Sol’s quiet index. Not Gareth’s asked-for steel. The field is a library if he stands on it properly.
Interests & role
Dates that are right. Kit that is honest. An audience. Pinning Liora’s cross straight. Sharing the lamp with Sol without sharing the volume. Trunks of other centuries.
Notes
Sixty-fifth. Liora’s second. Contrast on purpose. Sol reads the chronicle. Gideon is the chronicle for an afternoon and will not be quiet about it. They still share the lamp. Liora corrects his footnotes; he pins her cross straight anyway. Default century is Templar. Other eras in trunks. Speaks like a chronicle. Class A if Celestine keeps the favour. The yard is the lecture hall either way. Not kitchen. Not Court. Not a joke knight.
“The field is a library if you stand on it properly.”
