Five of the house on a bright beach building a sandcastle: Myst with full raven wings standing over the work, Rue kneeling with smaller wings, Isa and Tess in black with crimson and spider limbs at the castle, Solene seated in the wash with blue-violet hair.

Wall text

Hung 8 September 2026, same walnut as Harbour Knit, seventh hook, landscape so the shore stays in the picture. Left to right as the tide would count them: Myst, wings out, the weather she takes even to a beach. Rue, smaller wings, the grin, one question already forming about why sand is a castle. Isa and Tess at the work — mother and daughter, crimson in the wet hair, limbs kept close until the turret needs a brace. Solene in the wash, blue-violet, the water that does not have to build anything. Gerrido heat is not here. The cloakroom census is not here. The kettle can wait. Accession MG.2026.007. The castle is not infrastructure. That is the point.
